About the Department
The Computer Science & Engineering Department is one of the oldest engineering departments of Institute of Engineering & Management. IEM has been graded ‘A’ Category by NAAC. CSE Department was established in the year 1997 under the affiliation of Kalyani University and subsequently under Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (erstwhile West Bengal University of Technology). Right from its inception, it aimed towards imparting quality education with special emphasis on technical knowledge. With access to the research in cutting edge technology, students from this department have maintained a consistent balance between academic excellence and extracurricular activities which is reflected in their achievements in the technical fests, science exhibitions, cultural fests, etc.

Dr. Moutushi Singh
The Computer Science & Engineering Department of I.E.M. has been setting exemplary standards since its inception and is well on course to continue the tradition for years to come. It is an honor to represent this department as its H.O.D. and be an integral part of its endeavors. The department strongly believes in its students' ability to leave a global footprint, assisted by a highly qualified pool of professors. The students are encouraged to take up challenging projects and to publish their work in various international journals. All students are mentored to make them follow a philosophy that does not set boundaries to their ability to learn. Our students' contributions to different academic forums have been ascertaining the sincere efforts put by their teachers at many levels. The department places a strong emphasis on imparting practical education by carefully administering proper lab work to complement their theoretical knowledge. At I.E.M., the teachers are serving with sincere dedication to prepare our students for a more significant challenge ahead and to nurture them to build a strong foundation for the next level so that they can even surpass the teachers and become more useful to the society.
